Hello, I’m Lisa.

Before founding Mrs Downsizer, I spent more than a decade in home care, supporting older people with health and mobility challenges. Those years taught me how people cope with change, loss and difficult decisions, and how much lighter everything feels with someone patient alongside you.

Downsizing brings all of that together. There’s the practical side: sorting, packing, planning and setting up a new home. And there’s the emotional side: the memories attached to things, the worry some people feel about clutter, and the simple problem of not knowing where to begin.

We help with both. We’re organised and efficient, but we never rush anyone. We guide decisions gently and, when it helps, a little firmly. Then we handle the practical work that turns a plan into a finished move.

Lisa’s care background helps us notice mobility and household-safety needs while protecting a person’s dignity. We don’t provide clinical advice; it simply shapes how we listen, plan and work.

How we work

  • No judgement: every home and every situation starts where it starts.
  • Your decisions: nothing leaves without the agreed person’s say-so.
  • Clear communication: family members can receive agreed photographs and progress updates.
  • One steady point of contact: when you book Mrs Downsizer, you work with Lisa from start to finish.
