Much more than a Downsizer

“Lisa came to the rescue and changed our lives! Some years ago, having downsized in ‘property’ without downsizing in ‘contents’, my aunt’s new flat quickly went from being cramped to being cluttered, unmanageable, unhealthy and unsafe.

With advancing age and failing health, something had to be done. Covid isolation had made things much worse, and the overwhelming size of the task created avoidance, paralysis and emotional distress.

So, Lisa arrived. With sensitivity, understanding, compassion, skill and unswerving positivity, she enabled my aunt to start the process of decluttering — slowly, safely and together. There was eventually much jollity and laughter during Lisa’s visits, and downsizing happened. My aunt became proud of her home once again and felt able to invite friends in for a cuppa and a chat.

Sadly, just a few months ago, after a short illness, she died aged 93. She passed away peacefully in her own beautiful home, able to look around her and feel contented. Lisa has continued to be an immense help to me as we work towards the final clearance.
